PRICING
Our tour packages include hotel or lodge accommodations, along with meals such as dinner, lunch, and breakfast. We are flexible and can customize your accommodation based on your interests and budget.
The prices we offer cover park permits and guiding fees for the specific tour you have booked. These permits are necessary for visiting various attractions, including national parks, museums, community tours, Kigali city tours, tea plantations, cultural tours, beaches, and more.
In the event of flight or tour cancellations, additional charges may apply, and refunds may not be applicable.
If your tour is not exclusive and your flight is delayed, we will make every effort to accommodate you. If joining the group becomes impossible, we will do our best to arrange a private tour, private transfer, or an exclusive tour, subject to additional charges.
Please note that our company reserves the right to adjust the price of any tour before departure due to circumstances beyond our control. These factors may include government taxes, increases in fuel prices, fluctuations in exchange rates, accommodation price changes, airfare adjustments, or variations in transportation costs. We reserve the right to modify the tour price or cancel the tour altogether.
Baggage and personal belongings left behind
While we strive to handle passengers’ luggage with utmost care, we will not be held responsible for damage or loss of any materials including but not limited to bags and their content, money, etc. Make sure that your materials are well packed like a camera, and have to be in the proper bag. Because sometimes we drive on bump roads, hiking or tracking in rain. The bag may get wet which leads to damage to the same photographic materials. It is advisable to have water proof bags and dust proof bags with shock absorber for keeping the camera safe. There is a limited weight of 30 kg of bag and luggage, this includes photographic materials and luggage etc.
It is possible to leave behind your valuable stuff like baggage, money, camera, travel document, etc, in a hotel, in the car or in the park. Company will assist you in getting your stuff returned to our office or to our representative office. It is your responsibility to look after your stuff and transfer charges.
Special Dietary needs
Almost all hotels and lodges that provide for our travellers will be happy to make sure your special dietary needs are taken care of like: low fat meal, diabetic meal, seafood meal, vegetarian meal etc. Please notify your special dietary in advance to make sure that the hotel/lodge that will accommodate you, will manage it.
Changing the Itinerary on the tour
It may happen to change the itinerary we provide while you are on the tour, from your own reason or logistical reasons. The company will strive to provide all activities as on the itinerary where not possible we shall agree with the client to replace the activity to meet your interest.
If you fail to join the tour, leave the tour before its completion, join the tour after its departure no refund will be made for unused services. You will be responsible for all costs that were not mentioned on the itinerary. We will assist you to arrange those unplanned tours.
The company has the right at any time due to any circumstance to cancel, to postpone, or to make an alteration in the route, accommodation price or other details. The change can be caused by following event, include but not limited to any pandemic disease, unfavourable weather condition, terrorism, war, government regulations or other interference which is beyond of our control. You will be responsible for additional balance results from alteration of the tour.
Booking
Booking is recommended for all activities, but is mandatory for gorilla tracking & chimpanzee tracking, colobus tracking, and other monkeys, full payment is required for us to secure the permits of tracking before fully booked, at least should be paid 40 days before starting the tour. Deposits are not refundable, if permits and tickets have been issued to the client. Booking is not confirmed until 60% of payment is made and it is subject to permit availability at time of payment, full payment has to be made prior the departure of our trips. Please give us specification details you wish, when booking for accommodation like Accommodation categories, room categories and special diet if there is. Your booking might be similar with people from different countries with different languages, age, socioeconomic background, culture and ethnicity, etc. You should be fully aware and understand the respect of each other participants (highly needed) with no harassment nor discrimination. Especially on trekking mountain gorilla and chimpanzee trekking but, it is possible for booking exclusively.
Cancellation
You are advised to have cancellation insurance at the time of booking that will cover cancellation charges. All cancellations have to be in written form, via mail, calls or messages. All permits and flits booked by (DA) on behalf of the client have a 100% non-refundable deposit. All cancellations will be approved after receiving a written form and agreed upon between the client and (DA). The following cancellation fees are applicable to any cancellation or postpone tours, if there is no ticket or permit issued to the client; fees are calculated on full price of the tour. Cancellation fee: 40 days or more 20%, 20 – 39 days 50%, 9 – 19 days75%, 0 – 8 days 100%. A booked tour can be changed to a previous date than originally booked date with free cancellation fees, both client and company will agree on the changes as the Company will strive to meet client needs. We will not be responsible for any incidental expenses that may result from your cancellation, including but not limited to: non-refundable flight, non-refundable park permit, visa, and travel insurance, etc.
Safety and Security
DA plans the holiday for you with safety as the key principle, from the beginning up to the end of the tour, the client will be with the driver guide and keep in touch with the office on a daily report. In case of an incident, emergency back-up will be organized as needed. If you have a complaint on the tour, please reach us as soon as possible via call or email. If your satisfaction is not maximized due to different unreasonable means involves our stakeholders. The complaint should be in written form to us, not later15 days from the end of the tour.
It is advisable to consult your medical expert before departure; it is your own responsibility to ensure that you obtain proper and medical advice prior to travel especially for pregnant women and people with significant health conditions.
Malaria preventive measures are needed, prophylactic medication is highly recommended; vaccination of covid-19 and yellow fever is highly recommended prior to traveling in Africa. Due to the covid-19 keep mask on, hand washing and rub hand as much as possible as well as avoiding crowding area. The clients will be responsible for preventive measures. If the client falls ill, the company will assist you for getting medical care as needed and the expenses will be on the clients own account.
It is rare but sometimes, it may happen to have an accident or being attacked by wild animals. Animals and reptiles are highly dangerous and venomous. Please follow the rules and regulation of the parks while you are on the tour, DA will not be responsible for any injury or any incident that are caused by behaviours of wild animals.
Travel documents
These documents are essential for verifying identity, nationality, and authorization to enter a specific country or region. It is mandatory to have all valid travel documents to that destination you wish to travel like: passports, visas and any other travel documents for the duration of the tour and beyond two weeks; due to unexpected events, you may stay more than planned time. On your request, we may give assistance to you for getting travel documents.
Marketing by Use of Photos and videos
By participating in any trip, clients or participants implicitly agree to the terms regarding the use of images, photos, and videos. These visual materials may be captured by participants themselves, the tour guide, or our partner, and may feature the participants partially or entirely. Clients or participants acknowledge and give consent for the use of these images for marketing and promotional purposes worldwide, including on various social media platforms and websites. However, if any restrictions on image use were previously communicated in writing, those restrictions will be honored.
The images captured during the tour may be utilized by us or our representative on all forms of media, such as websites, brochures, videos, slides, and the internet, without prior notice, any charges, or compensation to the participants. We value the privacy of our clients, and if any participant holds a differing perspective on this matter, we kindly request that they communicate their concerns via email before the tour commences.
Savings more for Small Groups
Traveling with loved ones, whether it’s family or friends, has always been fulfilling, and now it can be even more rewarding. When you travel in small groups of 6, 7 or 8 people with Dino Africa vacations, each person can save 5% on the land-only portion of the trip. Additionally, for groups of 9 to 15 individuals, additional one person can travel at half the price, and for groups of 17 or more, one person can travel for free. By bringing more people along, you not only multiply the fun but also increase your savings. Booking must be made, under deposit at the same time for the same destination with the same attractions.
Save 5% for the second tour
The more you travel with us, the more you save. When you book two Dino Africa vacations within the same year, you will receive a 5% discount on the land portion of your second tour. If you decide to take three tours, you can enjoy a 5% discount on each of your next two tours as well. This incentive encourages frequent travelers to explore multiple destinations with Dino Africa while enjoying savings on their adventures.
Insurance on the tour
It is highly recommended and responsible for every client to ensure they possess adequate comprehensive insurance prior to embarking on their trip. This insurance should cover potential risks such as loss, trip cancellations or rescheduling, medical emergencies, fines, personal protection, and safeguarding personal belongings like cameras and money that may arise during the travel period. It is crucial to purchase sufficient insurance coverage to mitigate any potential harm or loss that may occur while on a safari, prior to the departure date.
Errors and mistakes
Although we strive to provide accurate information in our brochures, on our social media, on our website, and through our reservation staff, there is a possibility of errors or omissions. Dino Africa cannot be held responsible for such mistakes. In the event of a billing error, we retain the right to rectify the invoice, and clients will be responsible for making the correct payment for the service to be rendered accurately.
