8 Day primate tracking and wildlife safari in Rwanda

Upon your arrival at Kigali International Airport, our professional guide will welcome you and accompany you to your hotel where you will spend the evening and night. If time permits, you may opt to take a city tour of Kigali.

At 8:00, a skilled chauffeur will collect you from your hotel to commence your city tour after relishing a scrumptious breakfast. In Kigali, the capital of Rwanda, you will acquire knowledge about the history of Rwanda before, during, and after colonization, and pay a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial. Following that, you'll have lunch and some leisure time before heading to the Kigali Genocide site. Finally, you'll return to your hotel to unwind and stay overnight. 

At 5:00 in the morning, a proficient driver guide will arrive at your hotel to transport you to Akagera National Park, which is roughly a three-hour drive from Kigali. During the drive, you'll be able to capture stunning views of the scenery, animals, birds, and locals, making it a good idea to bring a camera. Once you've had a full day of game driving, you'll head back to Kigali for the night, where you can unwind and spend the evening at your hotel.

Your driver guide will take you from your Kigali hotel at 4:00 am to drive you to Volcanoes National Park. The journey takes roughly two hours to reach the park reception area. Once you arrive, a park guide will provide a briefing on the park and the rules and regulations for gorilla trekking, after which your trek will commence. The trek can take anywhere from 2 to 7 hours. To avoid disturbing the gorillas, groups of tourists are limited to only 8 visitors per gorilla family, and exclusive visits can be arranged. Visitors are allowed to spend a maximum of one hour per day interacting with the gorillas, during which time they can take non-flash photographs, keep a safe distance, and exchange information about the gorillas. Each group can only be visited once per day. After gorilla trekking, you'll return to the hotel for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon, you'll go on a community tour and visit the Iby’ Iwacu Cultural Village for 3 hours to learn about their culture through various activities, such as trying local food, hunting by shooting, traditional dancing, and more. After the cultural experience, you'll return to the hotel and spend the evening and night relaxing.

You will be picked up from your hotel around 7:00 am and driven to Lake Kivu. After checking in and having lunch, you will enjoy kayaking or boat riding on the lake, which is designed to provide a unique and unforgettable experience. This multipurpose journey aimed to enjoy the divine priceless experience such as:

• Bird watching and its nesting around the lake as well as bat viewing.
• Experiencing lake walks via kayaks
• Exploring different islands especially hiking on Napoleon Island and some peninsulas in the lake
• Experiencing traditional fishing

Stay evening and night relaxing at a hotel around Lake Kivu

The driver guide will pick you up from your hotel in the morning after you have had breakfast, and take you to Nyungwe National Park. Once you have checked in and had lunch at your hotel, you will head to the park reception to do the canopy walk. The park guide will provide you with information about the forest and the canopy walk, which will take about one and a half hours to complete. Along the way, you will be able to enjoy stunning views of the forest, observe monkeys and various species of birds. You will spend the night at a hotel located near the park.

The day starts early with breakfast at 5:00 AM, followed by a briefing by a park guide on the rules and regulations for chimpanzee trekking. The trek can last from 4 to 7 hours and offers opportunities to spot other wildlife and enjoy the forest's scenery. After lunch and relaxation at the hotel, there's a trip to the park reception for black and white colobus monkey tracking. A park guide provides a briefing on the trek's regulations before driving to the starting point. The trek takes approximately 3 hours and offers a chance to see other animals and stunning forest views. The day ends at the hotel, where you'll spend the night.

After breakfast at 8:00, the journey back to Kigali from Nyungwe National Park begins. Along the way, you'll visit the ethnographic museum, which offers insights into Rwandan culture before, during, and after colonization through seven galleries showcasing historical, artistic, and archaeological artifacts, and visual aids. After the museum visit, you'll continue to Kigali, where you'll stay at a hotel overnight, relax, and prepare for your departure flight. Overall, the trip promises to be a memorable experience filled with Rwandan hospitality and tourist attractions.
