Itinerary

Following breakfast, you'll meet with your driver guide at approximately 7 am for a safari briefing before departing early in the morning for Masai Mara National Reserve. Your arrival is expected to be around lunchtime, and you'll check in to your lodge, have lunch, and relax. Later in the afternoon, you can take a community walk to the Maasai villages for a chance to learn more about their culture and traditions, including trying on their traditional clothing, sampling local cuisine, and watching traditional dances. After interacting with the Maasai people, you'll be driven back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast and packing a lunch, you'll embark on a full day of game driving early in the morning. The day will begin with observing the sunrise over the landscape and wildlife. This is a prime time for animals to be active, including predators hunting for breakfast and their prey. You'll make your way towards the Mara River, where the world's largest populations of wildebeest and zebras are found. Every year during the dry season, they cross this river from Serengeti to Masai Mara, making for a rewarding game viewing experience with stunning scenery, buffaloes, elephants, giraffes, gazelles, cheetahs, leopards, large populations of wildebeest, rhinos, lions, hippos, zebras, impalas, warthogs, topis, ostriches, and a variety of bird species. After spotting the sunset, you'll return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay, as well as to prepare for the next day.

Frequently asked questions

A prime period for exploring Kenya falls between July and September, aligning with its dry season and the spectacular Great Migration of wildebeest and zebra. However, don't overlook the rainy seasons for travel opportunities. With fewer tourists around, you can revel in the lush greenery, especially during December when brief showers create a picturesque landscape. This time also offers glimpses of adorable newborn animals and various migratory bird species. Just be mindful of the heavy rains typically occurring during the peak of the 'long rains' in March, April, and May. Depending on their preferences, some tourists prefer the rainy season because they anticipate having a more solitary or private tour experience and lower prices at hotels and parks
